With an exclusive auction at Sotheby’s in January 2022, 200 pairs of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 were released in a limited damier colorway. The auction was a huge success, with most pairs selling for over $100,000, raising a total of $25.3 million. The proceeds went to The Virgil Abloh™ “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund, supporting equity and inclusion in the fashion industry.
Additionally, the general release of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1s included a dreamlike exhibition at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn in May 2022. This immersive experience celebrated Abloh’s creative legacy and the collaboration's cultural impact on the 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1
